Course Description

Artificial Intelligence in medicine and healthcare has been a conference topic for too long. It is time for it to become a tool in the hands of those who live clinical practice and research every day. Bring your laptop, your curiosity, and a willingness to get your hands dirty. Due to its condensed format as an intensive hacking session, this event requires dedicated interactive participation with the implicit promise to stay until the conclusion of the evening sprint. A waiting list will be set up to manage attendance restrictions.

Selection procedure

Seats are limited and attendance is managed through a waiting list. Submission of the expression-of-interest form does not guarantee admission, but applicants will be contacted when registration opens and practical instructions become available.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the lab, participants will be able to:

  • Use AI-assisted development tools to establish a practical software development workflow
  • Translate clinical and healthcare challenges into concrete prototype objectives
  • Deploy a development environment and design the architecture of a medical AI prototype
  • Build, test, and debug a functional prototype with support from technical and clinical mentors
  • Present the developed prototype and communicate its intended healthcare application
