Davide Albanese

Davide Albanese holds a M.Sc in Telecommunication Engineering and he has worked as responsible for algorithm development for Machine Learning and Bioinformatics at the Predictive Models for Biomedicine and Environment research unit at Fondazione Bruno Kessler. In 2012, he contributed to the MAQC-III (SEQC) and to the functional annotation of the mammalian genome 5 (FANTOM5) projects. In 2013, Davide joined the Computational Biology Unit at Fondazione Edmund Mach under the supervision of Claudio Donati. Currently he works on statistical learning methods for metataxonomics and on metagenomics for strain-level classification and quantification.
